Where HandyPilot is different

Your price, on your site, at any hour. None of the tools above lets a customer see your price on their own: they ask, and you send an estimate. You should not drive 25 minutes to quote a $150 drywall patch. The customer prices it on your site and books.

The website comes built. We build your site first, with a page per service and your calculator on it, and you only pay if you keep it. Domain and hosting are included.

Calls get answered. On the $99 plan the AI receptionist picks up when you can't, gives your price, takes the address and texts you the job. Missed calls get a text back from your business number.

English, Spanish and Portuguese. Your site, calculator and receptionist speak all three.

Where the others are stronger

Jobber is the most complete of the field service apps for a small crew: quotes, scheduling, routing, invoicing and a client portal, with a website builder from the first plan. The catch is that the useful extras are add-ons: the AI receptionist is $29 a month and review requests $39, and each extra person is $29.

Housecall Pro is strong on dispatch and covers more than 50 trades, and review management comes in every plan. Basic is one user only, so two or three people means Essentials at $189 a month, and the website and the CSR AI phone answering are add-ons without a published price.

HandyPilot is not a full dispatch system: there is a shared calendar where your crew accepts each job, invoices your customers pay by card, and reminders, but no route optimization for many crews.

Which one to pick

  • You want more customers and fewer calls to return: HandyPilot.
  • Jobber: if you want deeper scheduling, quotes and routing in one app, and you will pay for the AI receptionist and reviews as add-ons.
  • Housecall Pro: if you dispatch several techs a day and want review management in the base plan.

Many small companies use HandyPilot to bring jobs in and keep a scheduling app they already like. See HandyPilot's plans or get your free site.
